Blue Dot Campaign

The committee was formed in 1999 and has so far published a brochure on benefits of organic food, a brochure on dangers of gmo organisms and had two labeling campaigns. The first labelling campaign was a pilot project in which we labeled cereals produced by subsidiaries of big tobacco companies. We also suggested healthier alternatives, by encouraging members to buy organic locally produced cereals instead. We got a lot of positive feedback from our membership. With the second labeling campaign we wanted to encourage the members to buy locally grown, produced or packaged food. A list of the locally grown, produced or packaged food that can be found in our store is being produced by the Blue Dot committee.
